Meeting notes that stay on your device.

Minute Studio records a call without joining it, transcribes as it happens, and drafts a briefing when you ask. Everything runs on your device: no account, no cloud, no bot in the call.

Free for 14 days · macOS 14.2 or later · Apple silicon

How it works

From the call to the briefing, in one app.

  1. Press Record.

Record System Audio, whatever Zoom, Meet, Teams or any other app is playing, or the Microphone. Nothing joins the call.

  2. Read as it happens.

The transcript appears live, in the language being spoken. Text that has settled is never rewritten, and stopping is instant.

  3. Press Generate.

Minute Studio drafts a briefing from the transcript: a Summary first, then the sections that fit a meeting, a lecture or an interview.

Features

The notes you would have taken.

A transcript you can search, a briefing you can check, and files you can keep.

No bot in the call

Minute Studio records the audio your device plays, from Zoom, Meet, Teams or any other app, or your microphone. Nothing joins the meeting.

Recording other people may need their consent where you are. Getting it is up to you.

Any language it hears

The language is detected as you record, and a recording can move between languages. The briefing is written in the language of the recording.

A briefing that fits

Press Generate and Minute Studio works out whether it heard a meeting, a lecture or an interview. A meeting gets Action Items, Decisions and Risks; a lecture Key Concepts, Examples and Open Questions; an interview Key Points and Notable Quotes.

A briefing is an AI draft. Check it before relying on it.

Side by side with a translation

Read the transcript and the briefing next to a translation made by Apple’s on-device translation. Refine Translation redoes it with the bundled model when figures and formatting matter.

macOS 15 or later. About 20 languages.

A library on your device

Every recording keeps its audio, transcript and briefing. Play it back, search it, and restore anything you deleted within 30 days.

Files you can take anywhere

Save the transcript, the briefing or both as Markdown, plain text or PDF, in one language or both.

Also: Import Audio File… for recordings you already have, Stop after silence, Voice Isolation for the microphone, Instant Start, and controls in the menu bar.

Privacy

Nothing you record leaves your device.

No server holds your recordings, so none can be breached, sold or switched off. They are files on your device, and they stay readable if you stop paying.

AI that ships in the app
One model transcribes, one writes briefings, and both come inside Minute Studio. Nothing to install, no API key, and no audio, transcript, briefing or translation is ever uploaded.
No account
Nothing to sign up for or sign in to. The trial starts when you first open the app, and a license is a key you paste in.
Two things use the network
The license, to start the trial, activate, and confirm it at least once every 60 days. And Check for Updates…, only when you choose it. Neither sends anything you recorded.

The app has no analytics and no crash reporting. It doesn’t encrypt recordings itself: turn on disk encryption, FileVault on a Mac, to protect them. Read the Privacy Policy
